Professional Web Assistance
From Web Development
Web Communications
Web Communications is the web design division of University Relations. Examples of web sites Web Comm has developed include the George Mason top-level page, the Center for the Arts, Homecoming, and the university catalog. Additionally, WebComm provides a professional, low-cost web design solution to a limited number of colleges and departments each year.
To inquire about having a site designed by Web Communications, contact Paras Kaul at jkaul@gmu.edu or call 703-993-8819.
Template Generator
Web Communications also provides a web template generator that allows units to quickly generate a web site that follows University design standards.
Information Technology Unit (ITU)
Each year the ITU takes on a few very complex and sophisticated web projects for development. These are usually of the type that have enterprise-wide impact. Often these web services link to the student database or the employee database and therefore need to be approved by Human Resources, the Registrar, or other responsible parties.
If your proposal seems to fit this description, you can obtain and submit an application to the Web Team. If the team agrees, it will forward the application to the appropriate ITU group for prioritization. Projects are done in priority order (rather than "first come, first served"). If your project proposal is not selected or the timing does not meet your needs, we can work with you to locate a suitable vendor.
