Adobe Dreamweaver
From Web Development
What is Adobe Dreamweaver?
Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor for web designers and developers.
Dreamweaver vs. Contribute
Dreamweaver and Contribute focus on different things. Dreamweaver is primarily a design tool for intermediate to advanced web site creators. A web site can be created from scratch with Dreamweaver.
Contribute is an editing tool for non-technical end users. You really can't "design" a page in Contribute.
That said, the two tools work well together. Dreamweaver templates can be created that prevent parts of a web page from being edited in both programs.
Templates
Dreamweaver templates are available upon request with any site designed by Web Communications. They are also available as an option with the Mason Template Generator.
Note: Effectively using Dreamweaver templates requires use of Dreamweaver's site management features.
